Trying something new (A)

First off, I don't like this new posting set up. There aren't enough contrasting colors on this page, everything just blends together! Argh!

Anyway, at the behest of my mom, I'm starting this new thing. We're essentially doing a photo alphabet, but not in the way you think. Instead of taking a picture of a letter, we're shooting things that start with that letter. We will be posting these photographs every Sunday and Wednesday. Today is the first day, so today's letter is obviously A. (If you were wondering why there was an (A) in the subject line, that's why). So, without further ado, I give you my submission for A:

Amelanistic and Anerythristic

This is my Snow morph corn snake, Winston. To get a Snow snake, you breed and Amelanistic snake with an Anerythristic one. Those are just really fancy words meaning respectively: no melanin (that brown/black pigmentation) and no red pigment. He's a very pretty snake!

Days 45 and 46

Day 45:

Thursdays and PetCo kick my ass.

Day 46:
I shadowed mammal string today at work (the zoo) and we gave a few of the animals roses. This is our wallaby eating one. So cute!

Day 44

Yesterday I took pretty much all the decorations out of my aquarium to bleach them, then I pulled some water out, scrubbed the ever loving shit out of the glass, and put new water in. That was part of my busy cleaning day. Today, I brought home some new plants, cleaned up the bleached stuff and put it back in, and now my fish are happy again!  It's all looking very pretty, hope it stays that was for more than a week!

Days 42 and 43

Day 42

Viktor really likes his boxes. Any time one of use gets a package, we have to leave the empty box out so Vik can sleep in it. He's very cute!

Day 43

Today I cleaned. I should have taken a picture of the gleamingly clean stove, but I didn't. So no pic today.

Day 41

There is a pigeon nesting in my tomato plant on my balcony. I can't get rid of her now since she already has eggs, so I've embraced my role as tomato nest provider, and named her Alice.

Internet, meet Alice.

Day 40

Rhino rat snake. Cool or what!
